Packers Introduction

The Green Bay Packers are a professional football team in the National Football League(NFL). They were founded in 1919 by Earl "Curly" Lambeau. Their home stadium is Lambeau Field and is home of the famous "Lambeau Leap," which is a tradition of jumping into the crowd after a touchdown.  The Packers are rivals with the Chicago Bears, the Detroit Lions, and the Minnesota Vikings. Currently, the Packers are the only non-profit, community-owned major league professional sports team in the United States.
The Green Bay Packers won the first Super Bowl in 1967, and have also won Super Bowls in the years of 1968, 1997, and 2011, which was the most recent one.
The Packers' original colors were navy blue and gold, but in the 1950's they changed to hunter's green and gold.  In the early days, the Packers were sometimes known as the "Bays" or the "Blues," and even Curly Lambeau had thought of changing their name from the "Packers" to the "Blues" in the 1920's.
Their current head coach is Mike McCarthy, who has been head coach since 2006.  In 1999, he was the Green Bay Packer's quarterback coach.
Overall, the Packers are a very strong young team.  They are currently the only undefeated team in the NFL, with a record of 11-0.
